McConnell hints at tying bigger stimulus checks to internet, voting issues

The Senate adjourned on Tuesday and did not take any action on a House bill to increase the size of the new stimulus payments. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell hinted however that he would like to pair the checks idea with the repeal of liability protections for online speech made on social-media platforms, and a panel to look into what Trump has claimed are instances of voter fraud

I'm upset with Bernie for his strategic decisions in the primaries. However, I think he was doing what he thinks is best for Americans. This is another example of him fighting for us when hardly anyone else is.

“[Senate Majority Leader Mitch] McConnell and the Senate want to expedite the override vote, and I understand that. But I’m not going to allow that to happen unless there is a vote, no matter how long that takes, on the $2,000 direct payment,” Mr. Sanders told Politico late Monday. “Unless McConnell agrees to a vote on $2,000 relief checks, Congress will be spending New Year’s Eve in the Capitol,” Mr. Sanders tweeted Tuesday.” Bernie should be prez elect, this is what politicians should be doing—fighting for their constituents not corporations and major donors. Your move, Mitch.

Funny how misguided trumpets vote for trump who doesn’t really give a Crespo about them. They should vote for Bernie instead. But they have been told by the right wing propaganda machine to hate him as a socialist. AOC for President 2024.

Lots of Bernie fans in here. That's fine, he's a good guy. Notice how he stopped saying the millionaires part of "millionaires and billionaires" once his book made him one? Look up what a psychopath is. It's not a negative term. They are the majority of our leaders in politics and business. The short version of a point is that he's not unlike them, and could be one himself. Because his focus is politics, and he acts benevolently, he's alright. Just know that his persona, like in all people, is different than his ego (using psychology terms here). His act is to serve people, his desire is to be respected as a powerful leader. There's no intentional judgement in any of this. He's not a saint. He IS a good man that, to our benefit, focuses on good things.
