Department of Justice closes Tamir Rice probe, won’t file charges

The Department of Justice will end the civil rights investigation into the killing of Tamir Rice without filing charges. Prosecutors reviewing the probe into the fatal shooting of Rice found insufficient evidence against the Cleveland officers involved in the case. Rice, 12, was brandishing a toy pistol when a cop shot him dead. The officers involved said Rice appeared as an adult with a real gun.

100% right ruling. Clear video evidence of this thug pointing a gun at police. Toy or not the outcome will be the same 99.9999% of the time. If you don't believe me try it for yourself.

If we are going to try and charge people federally for killing children are we going to see a federal charges in the death of that 7 yr old in Atlanta.

Wait till the next DOJ. President Biden will weed out the reichwingNutz, and then charges will be brought against Tamir Rice's murderers.

Incorrect and awful ruling. Tamir Rice was sitting at a table in the park, minding his own business, when the police shot him from the still-moving police car. He was given no opportunity to drop the toy, obey commands, etc. This is a complete travesty of justice.
