Dick Thornburgh, ex-Pennsylvania governor and US attorney general, dies at 88

Richard ’Dick’ Thornburgh, a 2-term GOP governor of Pennsylvania who went on to serve as AG under Presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush, has died at age 88. Thornburgh died Thursday at a retirement community facility outside Pittsburgh. The cause is not yet known. In honor of Thornburgh, Gov. Tom Wolf has ordered the US and Pennsylvania flags on all commonwealth facilities to fly at half-staff.
