Republican Sen. David Perdue of Georgia will quarantine after coming into close contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19, his campaign announced Thursday, less than a week before his runoff election against Democrat Jon Ossoff. Perdue, 71, and his wife Bonnie have tested negative for the coronavirus, according to his campaign. It’s not known yet for how long he would quarantine.
