One-third of US rivers changed colors between 1984 and 2018, study reveals

About one out of three large US rivers have changed colors between 1984 and 2018, with many of them turning yellow and green, a new study carried out by the University of North Carolina, University of Pittsburgh and Colorado State University has revealed. Scientists said this is an ominous sign for human health not just in the US, but internationally, as some of the rivers are transnational.

Depending on the time of year the photo is taken changes could range from water temp -dark blue for winter, fall, summer, sedimentation (flood season or spring) - brown, and algae blooms - green/yellow This is not news. It's science.

Hmm, decades of deregulation on agriculture/mining/fracking and our watersheds are teeming with algae blooms? Who woulda thunk. Just look at Florida and the pig farm runoffs deoxygenating their lakes and rivers. Typical conservative mindvirus unable to see any future consequence beyond their small lives.
