FDA weighs in on debate over Covid vaccine doses, says changing it ’premature’

Commenting on the discussions and news reports about reducing the number of Covid-19 vaccine doses, extending the length of time between doses, etc, the US Food and Drug Administration said changing the dosing or schedules was premature at the moment and not supported by data. The FDA said the available data continues to support two specified doses of the approved vaccines at specified intervals.

When a study demonstrates efficacy for a particular dose given at a particular time, the study is only good for that specific dosage and timing. You cannot extrapolate from it. So until a different study is done, we are locked in on how to vaccinate people.
