Hong Kong police carried out early morning raids and arrested over 50 pro-democratic activists under the new controversial security law China imposed on the former British colony last year. This is the biggest crackdown yet against the democratic opposition under the new law. Those arrested include prominent democratic activists and politicians James To, Lam Cheuk-ting and Lester Shum.
CCP is more emboldened everyday, the less they are challenged the more they will take.
The saddest part is that no one notices. Between the virus, Trumos antics, brexit and everything else, this crackdown just melts in the noise. And so China can strike with impunity.
