Woman who confronted Black teen ’emotionally unwell’, says her lawyer

22 year old Miya Ponsetto, who had falsely accused a Black teenager of stealing her phone and then tackled him at a New York City hotel, was arrested by authorities on Thursday. It was not immediately clear as to what charges might be leveled against her. Her lawyer said in an interview that before the arrest that her client is ’emotionally unwell’ and remorseful for her Dec. 26 conflict.

These "news" headlines that specifically point out race only serve to further divide people. Every single time a black person is the victim, the headlines make sure you know that it was a black person. However, if the perpetrator is black, then they conveniently leave race out of it. How about we normalize honest reporting...
