Federal prosecutor doesn’t rule out charging Trump for inciting Capitol riot

Acting US Attorney Sherwin did not rule out the possibility of charging President Trump in the deadly Capitol riots. ’Anyone that had a role and the evidence fits the elements of a crime, they’re going to be charged,’ Sherwin said when asked directly about Trump’s role. In his rally held Wednesday, Trump encouraged his supporters to ’fight like hell’ to protest the election result.

“At the rally, Trump told the crowd, “We are going to have to fight much harder.′ “And Mike Pence is going to have to come through for us, and if he doesn’t, that will be a sad day for our country. Because you’re sworn to uphold our Constitution,” Trump said. “He also said the supporters should then “walk down to the Capitol.” “During the same rally, Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, a former New York City mayor and ex-top federal prosecutor, said “let’s have trial by combat” to settle the claims of election fraud.” Yeah, I think there just may be a case against trump and his lawyer. Especially when you consider he also gave them directions telling them to march down Pennsylvania Avenue and that he would be marching with them. His bone spurs must have flared up though as he was absent.
