Biden formally picks Merrick Garland for attorney general’s post

President-elect Joe Biden formally introduced Judge Merrick Garland to serve as attorney general in his incoming administration. Garland had previously worked at the Justice Department under George HW Bush and Bill Clinton. Barack Obama unsuccessfully nominated Garland as a Supreme Court judge. Biden, while announcing this, said, ’Your loyalty is not to me – it’s to the law, the Constitution.’

Judge Garland is a smart and competent lawyer. I have no doubts that he will restore dignity to the Office of the Attorney-General.

Biden picks federal judge and Obama Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland - blocked by über-hypocrite MkKkonnell. Expect rightwing lunatics - fans of People of Praise and the handmaidens (;-) - to lose their minds, claim he's some sort of radical left-wing socialist extremist. (;-)
