Hong Kong authorities release pro-democracy activists on bail

Most of 55 pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong have been released on bail. They were arrested after participating in an unofficial primary election to select a pro-democracy candidate for office. The activists may still be charged under Hong Kong’s controversial national security law. They are part of a movement pushing for more autonomy and democracy in Hong Kong.
