After Twitter ban, Trump says he’s in talks with other platforms

After a ban from Twitter, President Trump said Friday he is considering other social media platforms and may even create his own. Trump’s also been blocked from posting on Facebook and Instagram, at least until his term ends. Using the @Potus account, Trump tweeted, ’We have been negotiating with various other sites, and will have a big announcement soon,’ adding ’We will not be SILENCED!’

Deleted Twitter. Not supporting restricted speech sorry. This app is getting pretty restrictive itself sorry to say.

When you cut out a man's tongue, you are not proving him a liar. You are proving to the world that you fear what he has to say.

I know, right? Imagine a private company exercising its rights! Kinda like the " no shirt, no shoes, no service." Except it's POTUS, and instead of being an affront to our sensibilities, he is a threat to our life, liberty, and property. He can be a grownup president, and behave properly. If he is interested in "Presidenting", there are all sorts of things he can do. If he wishes to address the Nation, he can call a press conference. But he won't. That is an official act, and he might be held to account for officially doubling down on official acts of insurrection.

Twitter and other social media platforms aren't the only way or the president to communicate with people. There are official government channels. Also if he could keep his emotions in check, there are news agencies that would still report or televise an official briefing or interview with him, still.

75% of Americans are moderate (only slight left or slight right on particular issues) including me. I wish the news media outlets started to recognize those who represent the majority (politically speaking.) Wouldn’t it be great if “boring” was in style and the Far Left and Far Right were out of style? ... if only for a moment and if only in my dreams.😀✌️

I'm sure a trump media platform would be as good as trump casino, vodka, university etc. Or, and this is far more likely, he'll just whine, bluster and do nothing.

Trump doesn't understand free speech. Free speech doesn't mean anyone has to listen to you, it obligates no one to give you a platform, to promote you or protect you from the consequences of your words. He is as free today as he has always been to speak, as free as we all are. If a platform doesn't want to be associated with any individual they have that right. No one is entitled to a platform just because they want it. All platform exercise discretion as to who can use them, and they are usually based on the audience. In the case of social media they are a business, they follow the widest audience. Those pretending otherwise are simply sore losers who won't admit their side is less popular.

Everyone who voted Democrat chose censorship over freedom of speech, but most of you probably didn't even realize what was at stake.

Finally someone recognizes abuse of power with the stones to actually act on it. Yeah I know to the "trump not matter whaters" this is a travesty but guess what your guys numbers are dwindling hourly. Lol.

As long as he doesn't start using the Emergency Broadcast System for every little thing he says, I got no problem.

Notice the Media matters trolls. This is a well funded, coordinated attack. Move to Gab, Minds, Telegram and Parlar today.

Using an independent broadcasting platform is the best route to take for our President to communicate openly with the citizens of the United States of America. The COMMUNIST TERRORISTS actively CENSORING our President by their bribery of Big Tech & legacy Media SCUMBAGS will be bypassed, making their efforts moot! 😉

As usual, the left thinks their the only ones who should have a voice. Kind of like the Nazi's did during Hitler's reign.

Funny thing is that despite the pitchfork wielding leftists, Trump's approval rating is spiking. The MSM won't talk about that.

I'm a little surprised this didn't torpedo the Twitter stick price. I'm not a supporter of Mr. Trump, but I would assume that many Americans would take this as "an attack on free speech" and distance themselves from the app.(even though it's a private company, and they can do what they want. Remember the wedding cake argument? Just apply that one here.) I will say, that it is unsettling how much these cpanies can control the flow of ideas. Even though they are doing things that I consider justified for now, I worry that their shareholders and I might not always have the same politics. I wonder if it's time for the government to have its own "Facebook-like" social media platform. We already have extremely limited digital privacy, at least that way your voice would have protections from private entities.
