Power outage plunges Pakistan into darkness
The national power grid of Pakistan experienced a major breakdown, leaving millions of people in darkness. The country’s electricity supply was being gradually restored, after all major cities, including capital Islamabad were hit. The outage had been caused by a fault in the power transmission system, Pakistan’s Energy Ministry said in a statement.
