Pope’s personal doctor dies of COVID-19

Fabrizio Soccorsi (Pope Francis’ personal doctor since 2015) has died due to complications of coronavirus. Dr. Soccorsi was admitted to a hospital in Rome on December 26 for an unrelated health issue, but was subsequently diagnosed with COVID-19. It is unclear when the Pope was last in contact with his now-deceased physician.
