A police officer in Florida was killed in the line of duty just one day away from retirement. Master Corporal Brian LaVigne, 54, was in a marked vehicle when the suspect, Travis Zachary Gabriel Garrett, 28, intentionally crashed into his cruiser in the Brandon area. LaVigne, who spent over 30 years in law enforcement, is survived by his wife and two children, one of whom is also a deputy.
Give that murderer 1 year in prison for every day Brian Lavigne served his community. It won't make up for the loss a community has of a selfless servant. You may have reached EOW, but you will not be forgotten.
