Temperatures of -25°C recorded in mountains of central Spain after snowstorm

Officials in central Spain have warned elderly to stay indoors as snowstorms have resulted in treacherous conditions. The weather has resulted in the death of at least seven people. Molina de Aragon and Teruel in mountains east of Madrid witnessed the coldest night in Spain in the past 20 years with temperatures recorded at -25°C (-13°F). Transport has been disrupted due to the snow.
