Germany accused of grabbing 76m Covid-19 vaccine doses violating EU scheme

Apart from ordering 50 million doses from Pfizer and CureVac, Germany has ordered 26 million additional doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, which other countries turned down. The EU had decided that 2.3 billion doses of vaccines were to be divided between member countries in proportion to their population. Berlin’s move prompted dismay within the EU, with some condemning it as ’selfish.’
