Biden expected to cancel $9 billion Keystone XL pipeline’s permit

Sources close to President-elect Joe Biden have said that the incoming president is reportedly mulling cancelling the permit for the $9bn Keystone XL pipeline project as one of his first acts as president, perhaps as soon as his first day in office. Biden had previously vowed to scrap the oil pipeline’s presidential permit if he became President of the United States.

That's so great Joe!!! We dont need natural resources. We'll just wait for your awesome "Green Plan" to come through that will never materialize to begin with. It will be a fake plan and you'll collect money from taxpayers, knowing, that your amazing green plan will never be a valid deal and putting thousands of men and women out of work. Thank you!! Thank you so much Joe!! Your the greatest!!🖕

Scrap using our oil and go back over seas? Thanks Joe. Was wanting an endless war again.

So sick of this off and on again pipeline. Canada really ought to start refining our own oil again and not send any more oil to the US until they can stop politicizing everything under the Sun. Let the US live in the "Green New Deal" and see how that goes for them.

I'm not sure that Biden can legally do that! They sought a permit to build a pipeline, and received it from the person vested with authority to speak for the government, and have started building it. Now to revoke the permit, with no grounds of wrongdoing, means that if the US government is going to go back on it's word, it had better be willing to refund the money the pipeline has invested already since the permission was given.

I bet $5 that gas prices will soar as our reserves are depleted and refineries are shut down. Great time to implement $15 minimum wage increase. In 4 years, our GDP will be below 1%.

If this move surprises you, just wait for the sky-high gasoline prices to make sure you do your part to have a smaller carbon footprint while Biden and Co. spew carbon emissions like it is going out of style.

Thank God. We need to begin coming off oil now. If we keep burning it we will only continue to lower the chance the earth will still be habitable in 100,000 years. If you think the keystone pipeline was ever a good idea you’re a simple sheep who falls for fossil fuel company lies and propaganda, plain and clear.

Beijing Biden, the Chinese COMMUNIST Party's Puppet, will soon be occupying a Federal Prison cell. Treason committed against the United States of America is one of the most serious crimes to be charged with, and Quid Pro Joe, along with his Democrap co-conspirators, selling out our great Nation could be punishable by death; via a firing squad.

I hope this is sincere, be nice to have a president looking to the future instead of clinging to the past.

We do not need another oil pipeline. Oil companies need to spend that extra money or they'll lose their subsidies. Witness late stage capitalism eating itself.

Absolutely disgusting. Going to kill our economy and strengthen China Saudi Arabia and Russia. This was the first year we were energy independent. Now back to the ways of the evil swamp. May GOD have mercy on the sheep.

It's like the President has dictatorial powers. Issue an "executive order" and it is done. What happened to the rest of the process? Is the entire of the rest of the Government now just a rubber stamping machine?

Nobody here doubting every word he says? Lol keep trusting your politicians I guess. The only factor that matters here is if Biden and co. has received money from the companies profiting from the pipeline then it will stay no matter what he says. It's not hard lol.

I hope Biden doesn’t fuck up our oil industry. Yes yes climate change, I care, but we have enough oil to responsibly transition to electric. Don’t be an idiot Joe and go green, go smart.
