Indian village cheers ahead of Harris swearing in as US VP

The Indian village of Thulasendrapuram in the South is beaming with joy ahead of Kamala Harris taking her oath of office and becomes the United States vice president. Thulasendrapuram is Harris’ maternal grandfather’s hometown. Posters of Harris adorn walls in the village and many hope she ascends to the presidency in 2024.
