India starts supplying Covid-19 vaccines to neighbouring countries

India, the world’s largest vaccine-making country, has started sending Covid-19 vaccines to developing countries starting with the nations in its neighborhood. New Delhi sent 150,000 doses of the AstraZeneca/Oxford University vaccine, manufactured locally by Serum Institute of India, to Bhutan and 100,000 to the Maldives on Wednesday. Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and the Seychelles are next in line.
