Man who pinned officer during US Capitol attack charged

Authorities reported that 23 year old Patrick Edward McCaughey III, of Ridgefield, Connecticut who was seen using a police shield to pin a Washington D.C. police officer against a doorway as rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol, has been arrested. The rioter has been charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees; civil disorder, among other charges.
