Ancient insect genitals found in 50 million-year-old assassin bug fossil

Papers in Palaeontology revealed that a fossil of a 50 million-year-old assassin bug, which was discovered in 2006, has perfectly preserved phallus about the size of a rice grain. After the fossil was found, it was split in two and landed in the hands of two private collectors. One of them, Dan Judd, donated his piece to the researchers, who named the bug Aphelicophontes danjuddi in honor of Judd.
