Britain entered a post-Brexit row with the European Union by refusing to grant the 27-nation bloc’s first-ever ambassador to the country full diplomatic status. The issue, which has been lingering on for nearly a year, has worsened after letters revealing the EU’s concerns on it got leaked. The UK says giving full diplomatic status would be like by treating an international body as a nation state.
This seems quite petty from the UK.
What part of 'First Ambassador ever' is hard to understand? There is no precedent, so who has the right to complain?
