Thomas Bach, chief of International Olympic Committee, said Tokyo Olympic Games will go ahead this year despite Covid-19 concerns. The event was originally scheduled to be held last summer. Talking to Japan’s Kyodo News, Bach said, ’We have, at this moment, no reason whatsoever to believe that the Olympic Games in Tokyo will not open on the 23rd of July,’ adding, ’That’s why there’s no Plan B.’

Good. It would be tragic to cancel the games.
