IOC chief says Tokyo Olympics won’t be rescheduled despite Covid-19 concerns

Thomas Bach, chief of International Olympic Committee, said Tokyo Olympic Games will go ahead this year despite Covid-19 concerns. The event was originally scheduled to be held last summer. Talking to Japan’s Kyodo News, Bach said, ’We have, at this moment, no reason whatsoever to believe that the Olympic Games in Tokyo will not open on the 23rd of July,’ adding, ’That’s why there’s no Plan B.’

Good for them. The olympians at least should be about the healthiest people on the planet, anyone else who's at risk should watch from the boob tube.
