Japanese officials denied claims the Tokyo Olympic Games are being canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 Games, delayed because of the virus, have the opening ceremony currently re-scheduled for 23 July this year. Reports emerged suggesting local officials having conceded the event cannot happen because of COVID-19. The IOC and the board in Tokyo insist the Games will go ahead.

They should reschedule this for 2022. Give time for the world to get vaccinated.
Imagine what could happen with social distancing allowing for competition at home. Mail in scoring, and virtual competing. I mean it works for elections, right?
