Trudeau conveys Keystone pipeline ’disappointment’ to Biden

Canadian PM Trudeau expressed ’disappointment’ at US President Biden’s decision to cancel the Keystone XL oil pipeline during a call between the two leaders. More than 1,000 jobs are expected to be lost due to the cancellation. Biden spent 30 minutes on the phone with Trudeau on Friday. Trudeau’s office said they found shared values on issues like climate change, global leadership and diversity.

"The profound sense of relief that the American election evoked across Canada was further deepened by Mr. Biden’s inaugural speech, in which he promised to repair alliances and engage with the world not through force, but partnership." I unironically enjoy reading the New York Times. They sound more like CCP state media by the day. And they seem oblivious to how ridiculous they sound slobbering all over Biden's knob.

Trudeau refuses to stand up for Canadian energy workers. At this point, Canada is in real danger of being divided up. Most of the country feels unrepresented and are not going to watch their economies collapse in the name of good relations with foreign countries.

The pipeline was just a hide-in-plain-sight way for Canadians to quickly and secretly travel to Mexico.

Are they going to remove the already built pipeline now? For instance the stretch built on sacred Indian ground... 🙄

Seems Kenney and Trudeau made audacious, ill-advised bets - rather than pursue bold carbon phase-out strategy.
