Amazon attempts to delay remote union voting in Bessemer, Alabama

According to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the union vote by 6,000 workers in Bessemer, Alabama is to be made via mail. Amazon argued that the remote method reduced the voter turnout and urged for an in-person voting system. The election will stand to be Amazon’s ’first union election in the US since 2014.’

Amazon makes tons of money by exploiting their workers, of course they would try to pull that kind of stuff. At this point I am surprised that some protection brought by unions were not made law, you would think protecting the backbone of the economy would actually mean something. I guess as long Wall Street is happy no change needs to be done.
