Australian man, lost in bush for 18 days while trying to take shortcut, rescued

A man from Australia’s Queensland state survived 18 days in a remote area. According to Robert Weber, he got lost after trying to take a shortcut to home from a pub. Weber, 58, was initially reported missing after his empty car was found on a road near Kilkivan, on 15 January. He said he turned off the main road to avoid traffic to reach his home, which would have been a two-and-a-half-hour drive.

Coming home from the pub trying to avoid traffic. You mean he was trying to avoid the Booze Bus.
