McConnell allows Senate power-sharing deal to advance

Sen. McConnell announced that he will allow the 50-50 Senate to officially organize so Democrats can take control of key committees in the chamber. The deal had been stuck for days after McConnell demanded that Democrats affirm they will not dismantle the filibuster. A spokesperson for Sen. Schumer said: ’We’re glad Senator McConnell threw in the towel and gave up on his ridiculous demand.’

I'm so tired of hearing about gridlock or partisanship. I'm so tired of reading drive by hit pieces with out of context quotes and misattributions. I'm so tired of the tension and trigger-finger thinking. It's exhausting. The federal government is not your friend, I don't care if it's a D or an R or an I after their name, those people do not care about you one bit.

Good get rid of the filibuster, nothing about the filibuster is in the constitution, federalist papers, or Jeffersons personal notes. Senators that represent 11% of Americans should not control the entire course of legislation.

Why not just unify under one party? We all know that's what they are anyways.
