Trump creates ’Office of the Former President’ in Florida
Donald Trump opened an office in Florida on Monday that will handle his duties as a former US president. The office also plans ’to carry on the agenda of the Trump Administration through advocacy, organizing, and public activism,’ a statement said. Trump was expected to head the new Patriot party so news of this new office came as a surprise to supporters.

Seems a bit strange to call it the former presidents office. Bush called his "The Office of George. W. Bush". Obama called his "The Office of Barack and Michelle Obama". It is going to look silly on a list of former president's offices - ...Bush, Obama, Former President 😂? I guess we should be grateful for not having to hear his name yet again. It is trump’s constitutional right to open an office for whatever purpose he wants so long as that purpose doesn’t violate the law. What I think is going to be difficult for him is managing that office after an impeachment trial finds him guilty of inciting and insurrection. The press release appears to be very tactful in that it presents its mission statement to stay within the bounds of legitimate political activism. my personal hope is that this “office of the former president“ isn’t mistaken for a separate but equal office of the president by those who support Donald Trump. It is most definitely not. just as Barack Obama was not able to run the country after he left office, Trump has very little to say on any sort of lawmaking in the United States unless he is elected a second term.
