Pakistani Supreme Court orders release of man accused in Daniel Pearl’s killing

Pakistan’s Supreme Court has ordered the release of a man convicted and later acquitted in the beheading of American journalist Daniel Pearl in 2002. The court dismissed an appeal of Ahmad Saeed Omar Sheikh’s acquittal by Pearl’s family. Sheikh has been on death row since his conviction. Washington previously said it would demand Sheikh be extradited to the US to be tried there.

I’ve looked thru 4 of the articles so far. Only one mentions that he was acquitted of murder with the charge reduced to kidnapping. So this makes him an accomplice to a horrible murder - at least in the US. Perhaps no death penalty but he should still be in prison. I hope the US gets a chance to convict him and the others. How anyone that is convicted of any part in this would be free is crazy.
