Lawyer seeks stay in inmate’s execution, says it may be Covid ’super-spreader’

An attorney for Willie B Smith, who faces execution on February 11 in Alabama’s Holman Correctional Facility for the 1991 killing of Sharma R Johnson, has urged the Alabama Supreme Court to delay the lethal injection. Attorney Leslie S Smith said the execution has ’all the makings of a super-spreader event’ that threatens not just the witnesses of the execution but the communities they belong to.

Video the execution and stream it to the witnesses home. If they have to see it that is a safe way to do it. Of course then everyone would see it as a few days later on tiktok.
