South Africa Covid-19 strain detected in South Carolina – first in US
A new coronavirus variant, which was first found in South Africa, has been detected in the United States for the first time. Health officials said officials say two patients have been diagnosed with the new strain in South Carolina. The two patients are not connected and have history of recent travel. This has raised fears that the new Covid-19 variant may have infected many more people.
