Ex-Boy Scouts chaplain sentenced to 40 years in jail for sex abuse

James Glawson, a former Boy Scouts chaplain in Rhode Island, has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading no contest to sexual abuse charges. Glawson, 76, was probed when staff at a group home reported that he had inappropriate contact with an 18-year-old disabled resident. Later, Glawson admitted abusing the resident and several other young men when he was a scout leader in the 1980s.
