GM vows to become carbon-neutral by 2040

Announcing an ambitious plan with a deadline, General Motors, America’s largest carmaker, has committed to become carbon-neutral by 2040. Earlier, the company aimed to become a ’zero-emissions automaker’ by 2050. Before GM, Ford pledged to reach carbon neutrality by 2050. German carmaker vowed to make its cars carbon-neutral by 2039. Volkswagen said it will be carbon-neutral by 2050.

Not possible. Electricity comes from fossil fuels and is converted to electricity at a remote location producing large quantities of carbon dioxide. Electric cars just make the process of burning fossil fuels less efficient through multiple conversions of the energy produced rather than using it at the source and only converting the rotational energy to the wheels. Far more efficient and far better for the environment.

What are we going to do? Go green! How are we going to do it? By using cheap labour and government grant programs to produce low-quality vehicles while replacing the workforce with robots!
