Earlier, the company aimed to become a ’zero-emissions automaker’ by 2050. Before GM, Ford pledged to reach carbon neutrality by 2050. German carmaker vowed to make its cars carbon-neutral by 2039. Volkswagen said it will be carbon-neutral by 2050.
