An appeals court in Maryland has overturned a wealthy stock trader’s conviction on a murder charge in the death of a man who had secretly been assisting him dig tunnels for a nuclear bunker beneath a home in Washington, D.C. 29 year old Daniel Beckwitt had been sentenced in 2019 to nine years in prison after a jury convicted him of second-degree ’depraved heart’ murder and involuntary manslaughter
As much as a lot of wealthy stock traders get under my skin, if the dude didn't intentionally sabotage the project to kill his worker he should go free. Who wouldn't want their presumably well supplied, radiation proof bunker secret from the public? EDITED:until I read about the hoarding, they definitely might have a case for manslaughter
WTF! does " Deprived Murder!! " mean? Never have I heard of such a Wacko law! Never heard this one on Law & Order. Here in Canada we don't have such a statute, closes on the books is Manslaughter. 😂🇨🇦
I hope to god the judge has a better case for releasing someone than "likely innocent". Geez.
