52 dogs rescued from China meat trade arrive in NYC, more expected

Fifty-two rescue dogs landed in NYC, arriving from Beijing, after having been rescued from the Chinese dog meat trade. The dogs were brought over by No Dogs Left Behind, a rescue organization that runs a shelter in Beijing. Dozens more are expected to arrive Saturday. The rescue organization has saved thousands of dogs by targeting slaughterhouses, wet markets, traffickers and illegal breeders.
