Trump announces new legal team ahead of impeachment trial
Former President Trump on Sunday announced a new legal defense team for his Senate impeachment trial, a day after parting ways with his prior counsel on the grounds of ’differences in opinion.’Lawyers David Schoen and Bruce Castor will head the defense effort in the trial set to begin Feb 9. Trump faces an article of impeachment charging him of inciting his supporters to storm Congress on Jan 6.
Does he even need a legal team? Almost half of the Senate is in record as saying the whole thing is unconstitutional. How can they possibly vote to convict after that? Besides, it's not as if the House sent a single shred of evidence along with the articles. Calling this a Kangaroo Court would be an insult to Kangaroo courts.
What's he need lawyers for? The GOP isnt going to hold him accountable. Hes had affairs with consenting adults and still got elected by the very party that's supposed to have huge issue with that so face it accountability isnt very likely.
This is so stupid how can you not believe that they stole an election at this point the way the swamp is acting up right now.
