Court to decide on sentence for Navalny

A court in Moscow is set to begin a hearing Tuesday on whether jailed Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny should face up to 2.5 years in prison. Navalny, 44, was detained on Jan 17 when he returned to Moscow from Berlin. He’s been charged with violating a 2014 suspended sentence for embezzlement by skipping out on check-ins with Russia’s prison service while in Germany.

What a nice rule russians have - if you’re lying in hospital and can’t check in with your parole officer at the police station - then you go to jail 🙂
