Uber to acquire alcohol-delivery service Drizly for $1.1 billion

Uber said it will buy the alcohol-delivery company Drizly for $1.1 billion in stock and cash. Uber expects over 90% of the deal value to be paid to Drizly stockholders in shares of Uber common stock and the remainder in cash. Drizly delivers alcohol in 26 US states where it is legal to order booze online. Following the news, Uber stocks jumped and were trading at $57.14 per share Tuesday morning.
