Biden’s plan could restore full employment by 2022, says Yellen

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Sunday the country was still in a ’deep hole’ with millions of lost jobs. She, however, expressed optimism that President Biden’s $1.9T relief plan could generate enough growth to restore full employment by 2022. ’There’s absolutely no reason why we should suffer through a long, slow recovery,’ Yellen said.

It’s funny how we didn’t need a stimulus package to get improving unemployment numbers when President Trump was in charge. Turns out all we needed was an outsider that knows how to run a business. Instead we traded him for a career politician who’s money was made by the taxpayer dole or shaking down foreign governments. Result: we need taxpayer money to give to other taxpayers that aren’t paying taxes so that everyone will be equally miserable EXCEPT for the 1%.... like ...our President, speaker of the house, etc. Well done, America. Well done!

Corporations: give us money to decrease unemployment Corporations 1 year later: we need more money to get the unemployment rate down. What did we do with the last round of stimulus? We gave it our wealthy shareholders of course.

So the solution to ppl not working is to pay them money we don't have for them not to work because we won't let business open. Then we tax the businesses that aren't open to pay for the stimulus we have to the ppl who aren't working because we won't let them. I see. The circle is complete now. I can now ascend to the next level of economic consciousness.

Or how about you criminals just open up the economy completely and stop enslaving us with debt? Such a radical idea, I know 🙀

Probably would be a good time to have a President with a proven track record of lowering unemployment and increasing American business.

Demacrats are failing on all fronts, what a disaster the Biden,Pelosi, Schumer show is. Their taking America a part piece by piece. When will liberal's see that these people are not helping them, but handcuffing them. Freedoms are being stolen and the liberials keep voting for people with a D in front of their names.

Should have not killed jobs then. By shutting down the pipeline they have headed in wrong direction already.

Full employment will not be restored to what president Trump had pre covid, not even close. There are no indications of employment returning to those levels with this platform and policies. Numbers and common sense don't lie. Bozo won't get the unemployment number below 5% his entire stolen ONE term. Be lucky to even get it close to 5%. Robinette just doesn't have the capacity, capability, or the honesty. Intellectually and morally bankrupt

The establishment were rattled by the “occupy Wall St.” Movement and then introduced us to “intersectionalism” and then stoked a race war to keep us all busy fighting with each other. And just as a good measure locked everyone down so we couldn’t speak to each other about it or earn any money to keep from becoming reliant on the government while destroying the economies we need to thrive. Oh, and don’t bother speaking out on social media as you will be labeled a “conspiracy theorist” and tested off what ever platform you choose to use. If you find a free and fair platform it will be tossed down the memory hole too. This was all planned to usher in the “Great Reset” and stop any outsiders from messing with their rule over us, ever again. It’s a big club and you and I aren’t in it. Get ready to eat your pets as socialism is coming and some idiots are cheering it on.

That's interesting since New York says it will be 2025 before they get back to just the pre-pandemic employment levels. Does his plan work for everyone EXCEPT the countries biggest city. Come on, man!

Gonna take more than 1k every 6 months to dig ourselves out. It will take collecting more taxes from the rich than from the middle class. Those who benefit most from society should be expected to contribute more.

I like her, but this is a bit weird. Every single day there are supply chain issues, and big ones. It is not easy to crawl out of logistics problems, when inventories of inputs are low, so intermediate goods are behind, as orders increase massively, and end products are being filled at partial capacity. Anecdote: a company that does 3000KG of colored custom plastic a month, just put in an order for 10x that, and they said it'll happen for several months. This is one company, and most are between 2-8x. We can't hit that target. They know it, and we can't get more titanium, anywhere. It's crazy. We COULD hit that target by 2022 easy, if we end the lockdowns. But starting the engine is a lot harder than just shutting it off. It will take time, and people need to be real cool about late manufacturing orders.
