Cheney: Trump ’does not have a role as a leader of our party going forward’

A day after being censured by her state’s Republican Party for backing Trump’s impeachment, Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, the 3rd-ranking Republican in House of Rep., said that Trump doesn’t ’have a role as a leader of our party going forward,’ and urged her colleagues to not embrace him.’ We have to really take a hard look at who we are and what we stand for and what we believe in,’ she said.

You have the right to no longer remain silent. I wonder how many people are going to regret the system of tyranny that they cheered for. If you are one of those who think Trump was the biggest threat to the U.S. and the planet than you are not informed. Our politicians are corrupt and going green means expensive mining projects that'll destroy the planet far more than carbon emissions.

What a st00pid legal position. It is not a requirement of those accused to prove innocence. It is the responsibility of those making accusations to prove guilt.

As far as Trump being "guilty" if he doesn't testify: Nope. If you disagree, see the 5th amendment for your edification.

I wonder if that lawmaker was a prosecutor with Kamala? Would explain why they don’t understand the 5th amendment

Practicing your 5th amendment means you're guilty? So if you follow the constitution its illegal? Interesting.

All attorneys agree that the person accused of a crime shouldn’t be put on the stand, or they should be put on the stand as a last resort but like everything else lately, we live in an opposite reality and now it automatically indicts the accused as guilty before a trial even begins. It’s a sad state to see how universal norms are challenged to hurt one specific person. Society has lost it’s direction of right & wrong and it will likely cause severe destruction in the near future. Sadly, the people who think they’re going to benefit the most may be the losers in the end.

I'm thinking Liz was one of the deep state Republicans who participated in the Time Magazine conspiracy to bring down Trump. https://time.com/5936036/secret-2020-election-campaign/

No, as his lawyers had already explained, President Trump doesn't need to be there for a corrupt impeachment

I just checked both of the news story links that were available at 6:13 p.m. on Sunday, and neither said anything about him refusing to testify or it being an admission of guilt.

I am pretty sure it's called the 5th amendment. Also it's called "innocent until proven guilty". So go F yourself.

Welk hey, if we are just going to start stripping Americans of constitutionally guaranteed rights, you may as well go all the way.

Or using a constitutional right called PLEADING THE EFFING FIFTH. I'm not even a fan, this is just ridiculous. Who would want to testify against themselves? If he opens his mouth at that trial that's all they'll turn it in to.

The only way President Trump not testifying could be confused as proof of his guilt is if the Democrats revoked the 5 th amendment. Oh crap, I think I just gave a bunch of Democrats a “great idea”. Sorry America, my bad. ————————- This comment had to be pre-approved by the “NewVice” censorship tribunal. Everything above the line is my original post, unedited. In trumps world and his supporters Justice and the legal framework shoukd be based on their opinions. That's why they're the laughing stock of the world.

Just subpoena him and he can sit there and say I don't recall or I plead the 5th over and over and look like a complete clown. Especially since he said only people who are guilty plead the 5th. That's a direct quote from Trump himself. 🤦‍♂️

Thanks Liz, let’s just go with a one party system and lay down for the Socialists. All of you RINO’s created Trump and now you are embarrassed that he did what you are always promising. If the GOP establishment hadn’t gone all out to try and force Jeb on us for the nomination before 2016 we probably would have had either Rubio or Cruz as the nominee. If we let the establishment have their way it will be the same old story. Probably make some big gains in the midterms and take back the house and senate and then in 2024 they’ll put up another wishy, washy has been and another loss.
