China released new anti-monopoly protocols on Sunday aimed at cracking down on the country’s tech giants. The new rules bar companies from a range of behavior, including stopping them from price-fixing, restricting technologies, and using data and algorithms to manipulate the market, and forces merchants to choose between the country’s top internet players, a long-time practice in the market.
