Somehow I see incoherent analysis from the left about this: one comment about Trump deserving this for lying to the masses - nope. Okay, then for the deadly riots - nope. Okay, for inciting Violence - nope. So basically it boils down to the good ol saying - „Orange Man Bad!"

So the truth is finialy out, reason for impeachment - so he can never run again. Im shocked, I thought it was because the Democrats value peace. The same party of defund the police leading to months of riots, billions in damage thousands injured, dozems dead and a record jump in blacks killed with fire arms. Almost like its all BS and all they wanted was the status quo.

It's about having consequences for your actions. If you lie to the masses and create an atmosphere of rebellion and then people you 'lead' follow through with your rederick and cause people to die and threathen to kill others so our country is not able to certify the peaceful transfer of power? Yeah, time to answer for the months of your lies and BS.

Typical of Trump cultist. Grasp longingly to to his failed leadership and false conservatism, and claim that he shouldn’t be further prosecuted because “they are all bad”.

What a 🤡🤡🤡 show! We all know there won’t be a conviction. This is a solely partisan impeachment (again) and doesn’t really have a credible case. According to the NYT timeline people already started breaching the gates as Trump was still talking and according to CNN there were Facebook groups weeks in advance who planned to breach the capitol. There were hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters listening to him speak and a few thousand who were at the capital and didn’t even hear what he said. Almost like the few thousand that broke into the capitol were the same few thousand who didn’t listen to Trump speak. Trump did say “March on the Capitol” and “fight” but those are phrases that many politicians (especially democrats) and it is just political rhetoric. I mean you have to be delusional to believe that he meant to take over the capitol. And most “violent coups” require significant firepower and usually military support.

As correct as this assessment is: it suggests that to prevent him from a second candidacy is the main reason for impeachment. But one year of creating doubt in elections and inciting violence is.

I expect the Republicans to argue all procedure because there is no way in hell they want to actually talk about pipe bombs and riots with Trump at the helm pushing the fake news narrative about him actually winning the election.

Trump cannot be impeached because holds no public office. If the Dems want to prevent him from running again in 2024 they will have to have a criminal case brought against him in a court of law. Since Trump several time stated he want people to peacefully assemble to make your voices heard, he certainly did not incite the invasion of the capital building. The Dems will never bring criminal charges against him because they will never be able to control the proceedings. This impeachment is therefore absolute meaningless and nothing more that political posturing. They have presented zero evidence except their own interpretation of Trump's comments which are actually the opposite of what Trump said. They will also never take this to a criminal court because there will be questions about the circumstances of the invasion including why capital police opened the barricades and let the rioters through. There is video evidence of this which will undoubtedly be presented in and criminal court. This impeachment is going nowhere and will achieve nothing except play to the Dem voters and possibly keep Trump in the news cycle
