Colombia’s President Ivan Duque has announced that his government will give protected status to nearly 1 million undocumented Venezuelan migrants currently living in the country. Duque said the status will last for 10 years, which will allow the migrants to ’normalize’ into life in Colombia. The UN immediately praised the decision. It estimates over 5 million people have fled Venezuela since 2015.
At least they’re unlikely to vote for communism.
Exactly stay in South America no need to invade the USA.
Importing vote slaves.
Columbia made a great decision to give legal status to Venezuelan refugees. The goodwill will pay off for many decades.
Legal status. Not citizenship. That's how its done. Congress could solve DACA right now by granting permanent legal resident alien status to all undocumented immigrants. You can stay but you can't vote. Then get in the queue for citizenship like everyone else. Doing it by EO lacks the legal permanency to end the issue.
