Cybercriminals target CD Projekt, hold Cyberpunk 2077 source code for ransom

Cybercriminals have carried out a successful ransomware attack on CD Projekt Red and gained control of the source codes of its popular games, including Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3. Revealing this on Twitter, CD Projekt its ’internal systems have been compromised’ and that the hackers had left a ransom note. The hackers also claimed to have access to ’all’ of CD Projekt’s documents, like accounts.

Some goober is gonna get their hands on the source code and we'll prolly see the depth of CDPR's technical troubles. I believe that the game's bugginess might be a result of a license change for the game engine, forcing them off. I have no proof, just a guess.
