Nasdaq, NYSE sue SEC over plan to revamp data feeds that broadcast stock prices

In a bid to block a plan by the US Securities and Exchange Commission to overhaul public data feeds that broadcast stock prices to investors, both Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange have sued the regulator. The SEC had planned to add the supply and demand data for stocks in public feeds so that more people can access this information. Exchanges sell this data at a premium to professional traders.
