Japan’s Nikkei Asia reported that Apple is working with Taiwanese semiconductor maker TSMC to develop ultra-thin and energy-efficient micro-OLED displays for its upcoming augmented reality devices. It said the research team is focusing on displays that are smaller than one inch in size. However, the project is at a trial stage and is several years away from commercialization.
