Twitter told India’s government that it won’t restrict accounts of journalists, activists and politicians in the country as it was against free speech laws. This comes after the company received a government order to block certain accounts that backed the ongoing farmers’ agitation. The government had threatened Twitter officials with a fine and up to seven years in jail for violating its order.
I mean, I'm sure twitter will block them if they violate terms of use. So if a prominent pro farmer says something out of line, twitter should ban them and say "see, we hold both sides accountable"
Of course Twitter is standing behind these protests. The new india laws were meant to unshackle the farmers and move to a more open, free market style for agriculture, abandoning the stric govt controlled market prices . Twitter hates free market. This fits the pattern perfectly. Ask them to condemn censorship in China though, oh no they won't dare do that.
Twitter: "We are all about free speech.......in India."
They’re only against free speach when it doesn’t align with their point of view... or you’re a Republican, whichever comes first.

Twitter "We'll tell you what to think!"
This should be standard practice for these platforms globally.
Is this the same Twitter that shut down journalists' accounts during the American presidential election?
Thats nice of them but you'll block little old me though right?
It's only okay at home right?
Coming from the same company that blocked the story about Hunter Biden because it went against their political ideology and because they wanted Joe Biden to win.
