Nepal bans three climbers accused of faking Everest summit

Nepal has banned three Indian climbers from mountaineering in the country after they were accused of falsely claiming to have summited Mount Everest in 2016. The trio has been banned for six years. The fake ascent came to light after one of the three, Narender Singh Yadav, was named as a potential recipient of a national adventure award. Other mountaineers alleged the pictures had been faked.
